Taxes & Customs

Customs Duty refers to the tax imposed on goods during their international transportation. Its purpose is to safeguard each country's economy, residents, jobs, and environment by regulating the flow of goods in and out. While global customers purchase our products online, the goods go through an import procedure to clear customs. The clearance process depends on the following factors:

  • Country of origin
  • Value, including transport charges
  • Quantity of goods

Each country has its own customs laws and duties based on the types and values of goods. Any international courier transporting Kinzzu orders must comply with local customs laws, and the recipient is responsible for paying customs duties to clear the shipment upon arrival. Please keep the following points in mind:

  • You won't incur additional shipping costs from DHL. Instead, you'll need to pay customs duties, taxes, and import charges related to customs clearance in your home country, per local regulations.

  • Whether the shipment is a gift or not, it must go through an import procedure as determined by the destination country's customs laws. The clearance is based on the origin country, value, and quantity, not its purpose. Customs duty and taxes apply if the gift's value exceeds a stated local threshold.

  • Customs authorities in the destination country decide if duties and taxes apply upon parcel arrival. This decision is based on shipping label information and customs paperwork, including shipment contents, declared value, and weight. Duties and taxes are applicable to parcels delivered to specific countries, and not all goods incur these charges.

  • The receiver, i.e., the purchaser, is typically responsible for paying duties and taxes. Kinzzu is not liable for any customs duties charged to the customer upon package receipt.

  • While we at Kinzzu strive to deliver packages to your doorstep, we must adhere to international laws. We cannot guarantee doorstep delivery if the parcel is stuck in customs clearance. In such cases, you'll be contacted by customs and delivery authorities, and by Kinzzu if needed. Please note that in case of a customs hold, you're responsible for paying customs duty and clearing your parcel as per your country's law. Under these circumstances, the order is considered delivered from our end, and returns, cancellations, or refunds are not possible.

  • Customers may be subject to customs duties by their country upon order delivery, which they need to pay to receive the package. The exact amount is determined by the delivery destination and is beyond our control. If a package has been shipped and the customer refuses to pay the charges, Kinzzu has the right to retrieve the package and deduct the following charges from the refund:

    • Initial shipping cost paid with the order.
    • Return shipping charges.
    • Any tax/duties charged to Kinzzu upon return. Please note that if the customer fails to respond in time and the package is marked as abandoned & destroyed at the destination, no refund claims can be made by the customer.
